ANIKAYA Birds Intensives will immerse participants in the movement world of the Birds, ANIKAYA’s Conference of the Birds ensemble. Participants will learn the movement vocabulary and approach of four individual Birds, as well as experience the entangling practices that brought these very different artists into one deeply connected flock.
The combination of the practices of the Birds who will teach in the Birds Intensive – India 2025 will address and expand our relationship to space, time and each other.
The second ANIKAYA Birds intensive will take place in Bangalore, India at Play Practice Residency, a center for cross fertilization and experimentation in dance in the capital city of contemporary dance in India.
This program is open to ages 18 and up. Spaces in the program will be limited and early applications are strongly encouraged. We will welcome participants from anywhere in the world, and will hold a minimum of five spaces for local and regional dancers.
